Synopsis: Ben Affleck plays a classic brooding guy with a big chip on his shoulder and Batman’s voice. With a running time of 93 minutes, the story covers a lot and doesn’t work particularly well. Hypnotic begins with Ben Affleck – as Danny Rourke, an Austin detective – telling his therapist the story of his young daughter being kidnapped in a public park. The kidnapper has no memory of it and doesn’t know where she is. Everything comes to mind as he investigates a series of bank robberies that defy reality. With the help of Diana Cruz, a gifted psychic, Detective Rourke tries to find the only person he thinks can help him find his daughter.
