Expectations were high for this third installment to push the boundaries even farther following Terrifier 2’s breakthrough success. Even with the Christmas-themed carnage and a few striking visuals, Terrifier 3 falls into the trap of repetition. It is failing to resurrect the inventive spark of its predecessors in favor of a half-baked plot that falls flat. It is an over-reliance on shock-value gore that is provocatively archaic.
